Gender Balance Plan (2024-2029)

1. Introduction

Bonescreen is committed to achieving gender equality across all levels of our organization, aligning with our gender policy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment, ensuring equal opportunities for all genders while actively addressing systemic inequalities. This Gender Balance Plan outlines our objectives and key actions for achieving gender balance by 2029.

2. Objectives

  • Achieve gender parity (50/50 representation) across all levels of the organization, including senior management and advisory board, by 2029.
  • Create a workplace culture that actively promotes gender equality and inclusivity.
  • Implement policies and practices to prevent gender discrimination and bias in recruitment, career progression, and daily operations.
  • Engage in partnerships that reinforce gender equality.
  • Promote gender-sensitive communication, marketing, and external engagement.

3. Implementation Strategy

3.1 Leadership & Governance
  • Appoint a Gender Focal Point within HR by 2025 to oversee the implementation of this plan.
  • Establish an internal Gender Equality Committee by 2026 to assess progress and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure gender parity in decision-making bodies by 2028.

3.2 Recruitment & Career Development
  • Implement gender-balanced hiring practices by requiring diverse candidate pools for all positions starting in 2025.
  • Offer gender-sensitive leadership training programs by 2026.
  • Develop and implement mentorship programs for underrepresented gender groups by 2027.
  • Review and adjust salary structures to eliminate gender pay gaps by 2028.

3.3 Organizational Culture & Training
  • Conduct annual gender sensitivity training for all employees starting in 2025.
  • Establish and enforce policies to address workplace harassment and discrimination by 2026.
  • Create an internal reporting system for gender-related concerns by 2027.

3.4 Partnerships & Advocacy
  • Engage in partnerships with organizations that promote gender equality starting in 2025.
  • Require all partners to share their gender policies with Bonescreen as part of collaboration agreements by 2026.
  • Advocate for gender-inclusive policies at national and international levels by 2027.

3.5 Monitoring & Reporting
  • Publish an annual gender balance report starting in 2025.
  • Conduct gender audits every two years to track progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Hold an external review of the gender balance plan in 2029 to assess impact and define future actions.
